My kids are loving the Olympics. They are competing everywhere--the backyard, the swimming pool. We created our own family Olympics.
There was an intense soccer match.
And of course the gymnastics floor (yard) routine.
I made an attempt to make it educational and told them they had to each pick a country to represent and research five facts about their home country. They didn't get as excited about that part.
The Olympics are a fun way to feel global without going anywhere and feel athletic and competitive without having a sponsor. We definitely have Olympic fever, I know that for sure.
Here's what else I know for sure (this week):
The Olympics can be crafty fun for the whole family. There are lots of cutesy crafts and projects all over the web that you can make. I particularly love the idea of making an Olympics memory book or time capsule.
We used this very cool template from www.supermommoments.com. |
Find your greatness! Sorry, I can't stop with the Olympics mania, but check out how cool these Nike spots are. Inspiring.
I can post about more than the Olympics--Check out this old school jam, do you remember "Summer Girls" by Dino? I used to lather up with a little sun tan oil and lay out while blaring this
I have social media gimmies--I finally reached 600 followers on Twitter and I want more. Click here to come play with me on Twitter (@AngelaYBlood).
We are making progress on washing off the car paint. Two weeks after we left on vacation (and a few days before we hit the road again for a weekend trip to Pittsburgh)here's what we have left:
We decided to keep it, because it makes us (okay maybe just me) laugh.
