Last week I vowed to talk more about the 1990s and this week I deliver. Picture it, it's 1990 and life is good for a teenager. I was all about drinking a couple wine coolers and going to see Pretty Woman (again and again) or blaring Bell Biv Devoe in my car. Oh yes, those were the good old days. Or were they???
I'm linking up with Mama Kat's vlog prompts this week and going back in time. One of the vlog prompts was to read an entry from an old diary. And here's mine from, yup you guess it, 1990. Watch to see if I have learned anything in the last 20 something years. Spoiler alert, I haven't really, but you should watch anyway.

Share or subscribe to my YouTube channel. I'm trying to get to 100 subscribers by August 1. It would be crazy wonderful to be in the triple digits, seriously.
In case you missed it, here's the vlog from last week:

Oh yeah, in the words of Bell Biv Devoe, "girl I must warn you"...here's 1990 coming at you in full effect.
Are you on Vine? Six second videos from your phone, it's pretty fun. I got really into it when it first came out and kind of just fell back in love with it recently. Here's one of my favs. I'm going to be putting all my favorites into a YouTube video then post it on Facebook and Twitter--ahhh, a social media mash up, I love it.

Still, that was pretty insightful for a 16 year old! Maybe you really did already know everything you needed to know! And I totally loved Bel Biv DeVoe's Poison! Flashbacks!!!
ReplyDeleteBel Biv DeVoe was the best wasn't it? Ha!
DeleteI feel the exact same way now that you did at 16. Sometimes I feel like I'm 80 and I've lived through everything. Other times I feel like I'm 14 again and I don't know a thing. I guess some things just never change. I didn't keep up my diary during highschool but I wish I had. I shared from my Middle School diary today.
ReplyDeleteUm... not really a fan of all the dirt that you are leaving out. Ha.
ReplyDeleteOh diaries from our youth... so awesome.
Your video cracked me up--I'm sure you learned something in the last 20 years! Sometimes I still feel like a kid. My life didn't have much drama but I journaled it anyhow--had 7 diaries to scour for this prompt!
ReplyDeleteYou wrote exactly like a disney tween show or something! I love how you have sort of life lessons in your journal. I don't know if I would want to go back and read mine. Ha!
